e.g. or i.e. missing a period
latin-abbreviation-formon by default (info)English
"e.g" or "eg." for "e.g.", and the same for "i.e."
Example
How to fix
Write all the periods ("e.g.") or none ("eg"), as the rest of the document does.
Why it matters
"e.g." and "i.e." take all their periods ("e.g.") or none ("eg", as GOV.UK writes it). With only some ("e.g", "eg.") they read as a slip. The abbreviations are listed in the lexicon.
What it does not flag
"eg" and "ie" with no periods are a house style and are not reported.

Rewrite depth (chaff fix-plan --depth): light — words and sentences; the structure and the voice stay
