A paragraph ending without 。
missing-final-periodon by default (info)Japanese
A paragraph ending without 。 in a document whose other paragraphs end with it
Example
How to fix
Add 。 at the end of the paragraph.
Why it matters
In a Japanese document whose paragraphs end with 。, one paragraph that stops without it (〜しました) reads as unfinished, or as pasted in from elsewhere. chaff does not pick a side; it points at the paragraphs that differ from most of the document. Short lines such as captions, lines leading into a list with :, notes, lines laid out with runs of spaces, and lines ending in a noun (an item in noun style) are not sentences and are not counted.
What it does not flag
Only in Japanese documents. Lines under fifteen characters, lines ending in :, note lines starting with ※ or *, lines laid out with two spaces in a row, and lines ending in a noun or a continuative form are not counted as sentences, nor are lines ending in a closing bracket, ? or !, or a paragraph opened by a colon under a term, the description in a definition list (プレビュー, then :入力した内容をプレビューできます). A document whose paragraphs mostly end without 。 (slides, lists) is not reported.

Rewrite depth (chaff fix-plan --depth): light — words and sentences; the structure and the voice stay
