Straight and curly quotes mixed
quote-style-consistencyon by default (info)English
Straight quotes (" ') and curly quotes (“ ” ’) mixed in one document
Example
How to fix
Match the form the rest of the document uses.
Why it matters
Straight quotes and apostrophes (" ') mixed with curly ones (“ ” ’) make a document look pasted together, and a search or replace finds only one kind. chaff does not pick a side; it points at the less common way in the document.
What it does not flag
Only marks touching a letter are counted, and code is skipped. Double and single quotes (apostrophes) are counted as separate kinds.

Message
The quote mark {mark} here, where the document usually writes {usual} ({count} of {of})
Quote marks are written two ways in this document ({spaced} curly, {touching} straight)
Rewrite depth (chaff fix-plan --depth): light — words and sentences; the structure and the voice stay
