Potential form without ra
ra-nukion by defaultJapanese
A Japanese potential form without ら, such as 見れる for 見られる
Example
How to fix
Put the ら back (見れる → 見られる, 食べれる → 食べられる, 来れる → 来られる).
Why it matters
The potential form of an ichidan verb or of 来る takes られる (見られる, 食べられる, 来られる). 見れる, 食べれる and 来れる are common in speech but read as mistakes in writing. The potential of a godan verb (走れる, 帰れる) is correct and is not reported. Which verbs are ichidan is read by the morphological analyser. Words quoted in brackets or quotation marks (speech quoted as spoken) are not counted. The speech and literature presets turn it off.
What it does not flag
The potential of godan verbs (走れる, 帰れる) and quoted words are not reported. The speech and literature presets turn it off.
Turning it off or relaxing it
